  • Great snow record
  • Local indoor amenities for evening entertainment
  • Great for beginners & intermediates

Lungau is spread across three distinct separate resorts of similar size situated along Austria’s coldest valley, guaranteeing good snow throughout the season to complement the spectacular scenery.

Groups have direct access to 190km of skiing, accessed by 48 ski lifts. Speiereck/Grosseck is excellent for beginners and a great starting point for experienced skiers wanting to find their ski-legs, and a new gondola will replace the current chair-lift for the 2012/13 season.

Due to the rural location of the resort’s the slopes here are never over-crowded, even during peak weeks, meaning no queues for lifts and plenty of space on the slopes for you to enjoy. Tamsweg is a picturesque village to explore on foot with a traditional central square, and has an indoor swimming pool, whilst nearby St Michael has a bowling alley, disco venue and curling. Sleigh rides are available weather permitting.
