Serre Chevalier

Serre Chevalier,
France

Beginners: 3 Stars Intermediate: 4 Stars Advanced: 3 Stars

  • Huge ski area
  • Perfect for beginners & intermediates
  • Attractive rustic ski resort

With over 250km of slopes and fantastic interlinked lift system covering 4 areas, Serre Chevalier is one of the best ski regions in France. Snow security is excellent here thanks to the north-facing slopes but this is also one of France’s sunniest areas so schools are virtually guaranteed the irresistible combination of snow and sun! Add in top piste grooming and great skiing and you have an ideal resort for schools.

There is lots of variety here and every type of skier has an abundance of choice. Beginners have good nursery areas and village skiing as well as easy gondola lifts meaning they can enjoy great snow and high mountains!

Soon pupils will progress onto the blues and reds which cover the whole system. This area is a National Park and much of the skiing is on beautiful tree-lined runs through the forest. Advanced skiers have loads of challenging reds, long blacks, mogul fields and virtually unlimited off piste.
